Project Zero

Consulting entities to go Zero Waste through customized audits by our experts

#ZERO WASTE SCHOOLS-  ZWS is an innovative and comprehensive 3 week program whose objective is to help schools divert all recyclable and compostable waste, recycle, reduce waste, educate students. This helps schools to reduce their C-footprint by making small but significant changes. Here we work on the vision of sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.  A 3 week comprehensive program to educate school students, staff and management on Zero Waste. This program would not only help students to learn about reducing waste but also help schools to completely transform them into a Zero Waste school. At the successful completion of the program, the school will get a Zero Waste certificate from Indo-American Center and WOMENforINDIA. This helps school students to understand the concept of Circular Economy. Zero waste is an ethical, environment friendly, green, efficient way of lifestyle that helps to live a sustainable life. The aim is to reduce the trash that we produce at individual levels to zero. This would help saving our natural resources and rebuilding economies in support of community health and sustainability. — READ MORE

#GREEN HOTELS – is an effort to make hotels, restaurants, cafes, homestays, travel aggregators, tourist spots green and sustainable. We conduct audit which helps to determine the loose areas. Training and educating staff, management follows. Educating them on the green practices from waste to water and energy conservation to recycling habits. This helps to reduce their Carbon and plastic footprint. We educate them on how they can recycle, reduce and reuse their products so that they become a part of circular economy. We are planning to go to other cities in India to replicate this model.

#SUSTAINABLE TOURISM- We work with state governments on making tourism more sustainable. WFI Foundation offers Sustainable destination development planning assistance to support the ongoing viability of state’s tourism sector. By working together with local, regional and state agencies, indigenous communities, destination marketing organizations (DMOs), industry organizations, and tourism operators, the strategies will guide the long-term growth of tourism experiences and revenues within the province. Through destination development, we envision India as a world-class tourism destination which offers remarkable products and experiences that are authentic, driven by visitor demand, and exceed expectations.
